The slow fade of of summer into autumn is a wonder to witness, steady and quietly magical in the way that nature often is.
In this quiet moment of transition, we find ourselves gravitating towards all things specifically autumn, welcoming the change in season however we can.
Here in the studio, we welcome autumn like an old friend, long missed.
September – the beginning of the “-ber” months… the most magical time of the year.
We like to use these first few days of the month, before the equinox, to readjust our mindset and make a small list of simple ways to step into autumn.

I love playing Gregory Alan Isakov, Noah Kahan, Lord Huron or Fleet Foxes to set the perfect autumnal tone.
Light some candles, play your music and set the mood while cooking dinner with a glass of wine, wooly socks on, windows open.
Moody tunes focused on harmonizing vocals and lyrical mastery will pull you right into the vibes of the cooler, darker nights ahead.

I like to break out a dark academia book for the start of the season.
With school beginning and the leaves changing, now is the perfect time for something that edges on dark and twisty, set in a moody, academic location.
A couple of my favourites:

Whether it’s taking your coffee out to the patio, taking a neighbourhood walk, or sitting out with a blanket as the moon rises, nothing hits like 30 minutes of crisp fall air.
To take time and be present is one of the most grounding things you can do for yourself, and I truly hope that you find time to do this for you.
If a walk isn’t your thing, this might be a great chance to journal and reflect, meditation or diving into your next fall read.
Sometimes it’s hard to prioritize getting out, but for me I know I always feel better after I’ve actually carved out the time and space for myself.
